Phonetics Review

Dear teachers

It's been while since we did some brush up on our english phonetics. Living in a non-native english speaking country it is very easy to be seduced by the influence of our mother tongue, even if we are teachers. It's time we devoted some attention to this important feature. Since we have no time for an ïn-person course of phonetics now I thought we could do something remotely and correct the exercises during our TDP's. I'll send you paper prints of vowels and consonants key words for you to look up their correspondent phonetics symbols and draw them on your papers. Here in the blog you're supposed to send me 3 new words  containing each sound. For example:  vowel sound number one:  ( eI ): My words: arrange, paint, claim. Make sure you underline the specific sound you are exemplifying and, please, don't use any of the examples of your list.
This is a compulsory task. We'll do the vowels this week and the consonants on the next one. This Friday's TDP will include some time for your exercises correction. Don't forget you write your answers on the blog so that everybody can also learn from your findings.
